
Dobro mi došli prijatelji! Today, I’m sharing one of my all-time favorite dessert recipes – the Caramel Walnut Cake. This cake is the perfect combination of rich, buttery caramel and crunchy walnuts, creating a treat that’s both indulgent and satisfying. Whether you’re a seasoned baker or a beginner, this recipe is easy to follow and will impress anyone who takes a bite! 📝 Ingredients: Batter Ingredients: ✓ 2 eggs ✓ ⅔ cup sugar ✓ ½ cup oil ✓ 1 cup sour cream ✓ ¼ cup milk ✓ 1½ cups flour ✓ 1½ teaspoon baking powder ✓ ½ teaspoon baking soda Topping Ingredients: ✓ 2 cups Walnuts, coarsely chopped ✓ ½ cup butter ✓ ½ cup brown sugar ✓ ¼ cup honey ✓ 1 teaspoon salt 📖 Instructions: Preparing the Cake Batter: 1. In a large bowl, add the two eggs, sour cream, and oil. You can use regular oil, but I like to use avocado oil. 2. Add the milk and then mix everything well with a hand mixer. 3. Next, add the sugar and mix the batter again. 4. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and baking soda. If there are any small lumps, feel free to discard them. 5. Once everything is combined, continue mixing with the mixer until you get a smooth batter. Set the batter aside and start preparing the caramel topping. Preparing the Topping: 1. Start by finely chopping the walnuts or breaking them into smaller pieces. 2. Add the butter to a pan and let it melt. 3. Once the butter has melted, add the brown sugar, salt, and honey, then cook until the mixture begins to boil. 4. Add the walnuts and mix everything well. Once the topping is ready, transfer it to the baking pan. I use a 26 cm (10-inch) pan, but you can use a similar size. Before pouring the topping, line the pan with parchment paper. Now add the prepared batter over the topping in the pan and carefully spread it evenly. Baking: 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). 2. Bake the cake for 40 to 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown. 3. When baking is done, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 10 to 15 minutes. 4. Check if the cake is baked by inserting a knife into the center. If the knife comes out clean, the cake is done. If not, return it to the oven for a little more time. After cooling, place a serving plate over the pan, flip the cake onto the plate, and carefully lift the pan. The Caramel Walnut Cake looks amazing.
