Welcome my friends! Today, I'm transforming simple ingredients into an elegant and delicious treat - Apple Rose Soufra. This exquisite dessert is not only stunning to look at but also delightful to eat. Perfect for impressing guests or treating yourself to something special.

Ingredients    
βœ“ 450 g Filo dough
βœ“ 160g unsalted butter, melted 11 tablespoons
βœ“ 2-3 sweet red apples, halved and thinly sliced

Custard
βœ“ 1 Β½ cup heavy cream 
βœ“ ΒΎ cup sugar
βœ“ 3 eggs
βœ“ 1 teaspoon vanilla

To serve
βœ“ Honey
βœ“ Ice cream or double cream

Preheat your oven to 360Β° F
Bake for approximately 40 minutes until the pastry is golden.

### Method

#### Preparing the Fillo Pastry
Before starting, take the Fillo Pastry out of the fridge and let it come to room temperature while still in its packaging.

Preheat your oven to 360Β°F (fan forced).

#### Assembling the Pastry
1. Grease a 12 inches round baking dish with butter.
2. Brush one sheet of Fillo Pastry with butter and lay it in the baking dish, ensuring it covers the edge of the pan. Fold any overhanging pastry back into the dish to form an edge.
3. Repeat with three more sheets of Fillo Pastry, rotating each sheet slightly to cover all the sides.

4. Lay one sheet of Fillo Pastry on your workspace with the long side facing you. Brush with butter.
5. Place another sheet of Fillo Pastry on top and brush with butter.
6. Using your fingers, fold the pastry into a concertina pattern.
7. Coil the folded pastry into a spiral, ensuring it is not too tight, and place it in the center of the baking dish.
8. Repeat with the remaining Fillo Pastry, placing each spiral around the center until the dish is full.
9. Slot the apple slices between the layers of pastry.

#### Making the Custard
1. In a bowl, combine the thickened cream and sugar, and whisk until well mixed.
2. Add the vanilla and eggs, whisking until smooth.
3. Gently and slowly pour the custard over the Fillo Pastry, ensuring it seeps into all the cavities.

#### Baking and Serving
1. Bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
2. Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey.
3. Best enjoyed warm. Serve with ice cream or double cream.
