These budget-friendly crusty rolls are made with simple ingredients and deliver the perfect crispy crust and soft, airy interior—without breaking the bank! Whether you’re new to baking or a seasoned pro, this easy recipe will have you making bakery-quality rolls at home in no time. 🥖 What You’ll Need: • 4 cups flour • 1 ⅓ cups warm water • 1 tablespoon sugar • 1 tablespoon yeast • 1 teaspoon salt 1️⃣ Prepare the Dough Start with the flour. Make a small well in the center using your hand or a spoon. Add the sugar and yeast into the well, and place the salt to the side (not directly on the yeast). Pour in half of the warm water and mix for about 5 minutes to activate the yeast. 2️⃣ Kneading & First Rise Add the remaining water and begin kneading the dough. Knead until it no longer sticks to your hands and becomes smooth and soft. Lightly oil a bowl and coat the dough with a thin layer of oil. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside to rise. 3️⃣ Shaping the Rolls Once the dough has doubled in size, remove it and gently shape it into a ball. Cut it into 6 equal pieces, shaping each piece into a small ball. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let them rest for 30 minutes. After resting, stretch each piece of dough into a circle about 4-6 inches in diameter using your hands (do not use a rolling pin). Starting from the bottom, roll the dough into a log shape. Pinch the edges together with your fingers to seal and shape it into a cylindrical form. Press slightly more on the ends to create a tapered, pointed shape. 4️⃣ Final Rise & Baking Lightly dust a baking sheet with flour and carefully transfer the shaped dough onto it. Repeat the process for the remaining pieces. Once all the dough is shaped, dust them lightly with flour, cover, and let them rest for another 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until nearly doubled in size. Using a razor blade or a sharp knife, make a slit along the side or straight down the middle. Preheat the oven to 425. Place the baking sheet on the middle rack, and add a cup of ice to the bottom of the oven to create steam. Bake for 20 minutes, until the crust is golden and crispy. These Garlic Butter Beef Bites & Potatoes are the perfect combination of crispy, golden potatoes and juicy, tender beef bites coated in rich garlic butter! 🧄🧈🥩 This one-pan dish is simple to make and packed with flavor, making it perfect for a cozy dinner or meal prep. 📝 Ingredients: ✓ 1 ½ pounds beef stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces ✓ 1 pound baby potatoes, halved ✓ 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted ✓ 6 cloves garlic, minced ✓ 1 teaspoon onion powder ✓ 1 teaspoon smoked paprika ✓ ½ teaspoon dried thyme ✓ ½ teaspoon dried rosemary ✓ ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste) ✓ ¼ teaspoon black pepper ✓ ½ cup beef broth ✓ 1 tablespoon olive oil Instructions I use baby potatoes, so I don’t have to peel them. If you’re using regular potatoes, be sure to peel them before cutting. Cut the potatoes into large chunks. Heat a pot over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the chopped beef, making sure not to overcrowd the pot—each piece should touch the bottom. Sear for 1-2 minutes, then flip and brown all sides. If the meat starts sticking, add a bit more oil. Once browned, transfer the beef to a plate but leave the oil in the pot. Repeat this process until all the meat is browned. Now, let’s make the sauce. Add 4 tablespoons of butter to the pot and let it melt. Then add salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, dried thyme, and dried rosemary. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the minced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute, stirring well. In the same pot where you browned the meat, add the chopped potatoes, return the seared beef, and pour the sauce over everything. Finally, pour in the beef broth. Cover the pot and preheat your oven to 180°F – a low temperature for slow cooking. Let it cook for 6-8 hours. Look how beautiful this turns out! I can’t even describe the aroma, and the taste is out of this world. You have to try it yourself. Ingredients: • 3 large oranges (or lemons) • 2 tablespoons baking soda • Sugar (as needed) • Water Instructions 1. Cleaning the Oranges: • Rub the oranges dry with baking soda to remove any residues. • Fill a bowl with warm water, add some baking soda, and wash the oranges thoroughly. • Let them soak for 5-10 minutes, rinse with plain water, and dry with a cloth. 2. Peeling and Preparing the Orange Peels: • Cut off both ends of the oranges. • Score the peel vertically into 5-6 sections. Carefully remove the peel from each section. • Squeeze the oranges to extract the juice – from 3 oranges, you will get about 1/2 cup (4 ounces) of juice. 3. Ingredients:✓ Fresh cabbage heads (4-6 heads, or as desired)✓ Salt (preferably Himalayan salt, but sea salt or table salt can also be used)✓ WaterPreparation:1. Preparing the cabbage heads: Carefully cut out the core of each cabbage head using a knife. Hold the knife away from your hand to avoid injury. Cut the core in a circle and hollow it out to a depth of about 4 cm. Remove any damaged outer leaves until the cabbage looks healthy and fresh. Repeat this process for all the cabbage heads. 2. Filling with salt: Fill the hollowed parts of the cabbage heads with salt. Use approximately 30 grams of salt per liter of water. Place the salted cabbage heads in a large container or barrel with a lid. Gently press the cabbage down to ensure it is firmly placed and to prevent it from floating when water is added. 3. Adding water: Slowly pour water down the side of the container to avoid washing out the salt from the cabbage heads. The water should cover the cabbage by about 4 cm above the topmost head. 4. Keeping the cabbage submerged: Cover the cabbage with a flat item such as a wooden board or a plate to keep it submerged. Place a heavy object on top (e.g., a bowl filled with water, a stone, or another heavy item) to press the cabbage down. 5. Fermentation: Leave the cabbage at room temperature for 15 to 20 days, depending on the room temperature. During this period, check occasionally to make sure the cabbage remains submerged and add more water if necessary. 6. Preparing for use: When the cabbage is ready, loosen the larger leaves with your thumbs. Save the larger leaves for dishes like stuffed cabbage rolls, removing the central vein. Roll the larger leaves tightly and place them in glass jars, pouring the water from the barrel over them. Seal the jars and store them in the refrigerator. 7. Using the remaining cabbage: Cut the remaining cabbage into pieces for salads or dishes like baked cabbage. Whether you’re baking for the holidays, a gathering, or just to satisfy your sweet tooth, this recipe is the ideal choice. 🍪 Ingredients: Ingredients: 2 ¼ cups flour (350 grams) 1 ½ cups powdered sugar (200 grams, divided) 1 cup finely chopped walnuts (100 grams) 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter (220 grams) ¼ teaspoon salt 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract Instructions: We’ll start by sifting the flour. Add the salt and stir slightly. Add the butter (you can use lard) and add 3/4 cup of powdered sugar. I should have chopped the walnuts at the beginning, but here it is. Chop the walnuts very finely by hand, without using a machine. Make sure to chop them as finely as possible. Then, mix the powdered sugar and butter with a mixer, and scrape the mixture from the sides of the bowl with a spatula. Add the vanilla and mix well again. Then add the flour and mix everything well. Finally, add the finely chopped walnuts and mix everything until you get a homogeneous mixture. I use an ice cream scoop for shaping, but you can use a regular spoon and form balls by hand, about 1 inch in diameter. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the balls without worrying about them sticking, as they retain their size during baking. I ended up with exactly 28 balls, but it depends on the size you make. Preheat the oven to 350 and bake for 12-18 minutes, or until they are firm and slightly golden on the bottom. When you take them out of the oven, let them cool slightly, then roll the balls in the remaining powdered sugar and arrange them on a serving tray. And that’s it – the Vanilla Cookies with walnuts are ready! When you try them, you’ll see how delicious they are. Once I start, I can’t stop. Pour yourself a cup of milk and enjoy!
